Buyers beware-this is not a honest company. These crooks came to my home and installed my **/Heating unit on 5/22/2020. This unit has never worked properly. Every season I have to call them out for something. The ** has never properly worked. It's HOT in *****. They keep saying that it's a slow leak that they can't find but every time they come to my home to service or fix the A/C it's big money. These guys are crooks. Shoddy installation. Hung the unit crooked so condensation built up, ran over and caused damage to the ceiling below. ********************** would never call me back. 9 months later the new unit went out and we had to replace a part which was covered by warranty but we had to pay the new company for installation and $600 for Freon. Gorman kept in contact with me regarding the time the technician would arrive. ****** was extremely thorough and very professional. He explained everything that needed to be done on our system and he took pictures to show us.Def will NOT use them again. I'll explain. He told us we need a lot of parts replaced even though our system is only 6 years old. He tried to sell us over $3,500 of un-necessary repairs. In addition, there are several things stated that confirm that you are not a customer of ours. In addition, if the system was only 6 years old, and there was an issue, it should be under warranty.
I am highly disappointed with Gorman Mechanical. They are a dishonest company and care only about selling expensive equipment to client. I contacted them over a month ago about my ac system that was not cooling well. They came out and gave me a recommendation and an estimate which was high. They were not in contract with my warranty company and suggested I switch to another warranty company that they were in network with. I switched companies and waited 30 days to file a claim. I purchased a new Trane A/C from Gorman in June 2020. Right after buying and looking over the paperwork, I couldn't find any warrantee information, so I called them, talked to the owner, and asked for this information. First warning sign - he would have to find it for me. Which, of course, was the end of it for him. Fast forward 14 months. My A/C stopped on a weekend so I called for help. In the ***** heat, with 3 kids and a sick wife, it took 4 days to get a call back and get scheduled with Gorman Mechanical. Gorman Mechanical did a repair to my coil and caused horrible water damage. We tried for 3 more days straight to get them out to stop the water. They will not return calls, nor answer my online requests. Total cost of a new system was 12500 dollars. Day one it did not work. When I called to get help I was told "I do not care how much you spent". I finally got someone out and it turns out they didn't wire it properly. After insisting they leave an old return cover they took it anyways. It was a 400 dollar custom piece. Had 3 new units installed. The installs were completed on time as promised & the techs were very professional. There were a few minor issues concerning the original system that were updated at no charge(leaking vent). I had gotten 4 quotes for the project & Gorman was very competitive. Highly recommend.
