I contacted Gore’s and asked for details on the light blue 1985 Mercedes 380SL they have listed. I asked if it had any rust or issues with the clear coat. He assured me it didn’t have either but did tell me about a spot of bondo on the front driver’s fender above the headlight. He said he didn’t have any cars with rust in his inventory. I drove 6 hours on 7/13/19 to see it (3 each way). Within seconds of inspecting the car I identified numerous spots of rust that were bubbling up under the paint. Gene and David have the experience, were fair and we love the camaro we bought, they did what they said they would do. Hope to buy from again.
Get everything in writing, they quoted freight of a vehicle in covered transport and then shipped it standard. I had sent wire transfer and they refuse to repay the difference. The difference was $400 - they don't seem shady on the surface but my experience is that they have a dishonest tendency. They do not honor their verbal agreements.
