They took almost 2 months to start my service. Even though the unit already had all the hardware installed they kept saying it wasn't ready. Customer service is the worst I've ever had, they kept "escalating" my case but never actually helped or did anything. After weeks of calling and talking to several people always giving me the same answer, someone finally did something different and transferred my call to a tech expert, after which they found out they had an error in their system and finally sent someone over. Scheduled online a week ago & tech shows up to get everything rolling, but told vendor hasn’t set up box yet??? I was unaware that a different party needed to show up and zero communication about that. I’ve been on phone trying to get resolved, but no luck. Google is a 1 trillion dollar public company & can’t pay for customer service in follow ups or a project manager to hold someone accountable.
I've had the worst customer/technical service and internet connection with Google Fiber. Today I canceled my service after patiently troubleshooting with Google Fiber for 4 months. My internet drops 5-10 times a day and I work from home which is extremely inconvenient having to wait 10 minutes every time for the internet to come back on. Same experience as most I read below… Signed up for Google Fiber 9/15. Checked my new address online, where the page said the service was already available. I schedule an appointment with the technician 9/27, 3 days before moving into my new house. Guess what? The contractors have not installed the external unit yet.
