Being a resident of Georgetown,I had high hopes for Goodfolks, but unfortunately, my first experience was disappointing. My husband and I arrived without a reservation, but were seated within 3 minutes, which was great. However, after sitting at our table for over 17 minutes, no one approached us to offer drinks or even acknowledge our presence. Very nice atmosphere and a great chicken salad.
Food was good. A bit pricey and a bit loud during peak hours. Overall nice place to eat.
The location is perfectly nestled in the Square. The decorations of the establishment were nice and made it feel like home. The food was tasty, the chicken was a nice golden brown color but was juicy and not over cooked. The biscuits and gravy were good just would like to have more gravy. The service was ok, think our waiter was just distracted. Willing to try again for sure.
We took our extended family here for a nice brunch and it was amazing! I got “The “Ham” Burger” and it was absolutely amazing. I was so full I couldn’t even finish my fries. I will say, they don’t serve actual burgers for brunch, which I was a little upset about, but there were more than plenty other amazing options to choose from. Our whole table was more than satisfied, and will be returning! Side note, it is breathtakingly gorgeous in there! I was very impressed with the decoration and overall vibe of the restaurant.
