Best in madison First off, parents that spend $1000 on a guitar for there kid is ridiculous. You shouldn't spend that kind of money on a novice kid because they may eventually lose intrest. I shop at good n loud and like it more than any Madison music shop period. The owners are very nice! Also guitars need great care if you treat them bad they will crack/have problems. Start your kids small and gradually get better equipment. Do your homework buying a guitar or any instrument. It should never be rushed. Also Chris is very n... read more

Happy with my new Ludwig kit If you read these reviews they don't make GNL sound very good. But I had great luck working with Brent, the drum guy at Good n Loud. He made great suggestions and wouldn't let me leave until he knew I was satisfied. If you have any doubts about your purchase, especially drums, see Brent at the west side store.

DON'T GET RIPPED OFF!!!!GO ELSEWHERE!!!! My Son took guitar and drum lessons a Good n Loud for four years. These teachers were great, to bad the owner, Chris, doesn't take a "lesson" from them on how to treat their customers. I purchased a guitar for my son at Christmas 2007. Took their advice on what to buy. They assured me they stand behind their merchandise. That's the beauty of doing business with a family owned store, so they said. My $1000.00 guitar split down the front within 6 weeks. They sent out for repair, took 3 ... read more

overpriced, bad service, moron owner The woman Chris that runs this place is a complete fool and talks to you like you don't know anything about the instruments you play and shop for. She tried to tell me the new Rogers they're selling is like the old. Nothing could be further from the truth. Yamaha bought the name Rogers and is now making some crappy cheap Rogers copy sets. The Rogers that we all grew up to know were all made in the USA either in Fullerton, CA or Cleveland, OH...not in the far east. There's nothing they hav... read more

DISRESPECTFUL OWNER The review I just read about the person with troubles reguarding his amp, prompted me to right a review. I also feel that this place lacks complete customer service.I won't step foot inside Good and Loud music the rest of my life. The owner Chris is a complete stuck up idiot. No people skills and is driving loyal customers away daily. You even try to ask her something and she'll just blow you off or tell you to ask someone else. Just go to Ward Bradt, at least they'll treat you with respect

My daughter loved it! My teen-aged daughter just got done taking guitar lessons and she loved it! The teacher she had was caring, made it interesting and was very accommodating. It was a great confidence builder as well as gave her something to look forward to and embrace. I would definitely recommend.

Would give product after we paid for it I bought a used Amp at Good N Loud months ago. They wanted to fix the power source before it leaving the store. Then they found out the part needed to be ordered. Good N Loud then claims the person fixing it blew another piece, now the piece is on back order. We get different stories each time we talk to them. 3 weeks ago, I spoke to the owner (Chris) and she promised me she would get to the bottom of it, claiming she didn't know about it. I called today for status. Now they want to re... read more

Wrecked my guitars Yeah, maybe you'll get a deal on some guitars, but the idiot running the repair shop doesn't know what he's doing. He wrecked two of my guitars. I'm so livid, I can hardly put it into words. If you ever want any repairs or modifications done, go to Lane's Lutherie.

Perfect for guitar players. This place is perfect for guitar players. They offer a huge selection of guitars old and new, and you can test them out and see which ones fit your style best. They always have new deals on top of their already low prices.
