Great Place – Great food, lovely ambience and service. Their breads are awesome, and a huge bonus as they come free

Worst service in the Midwest – I waited 15 minutes for an awful seat next to the kitchen. I placed my order, after physically GRABBING the waitress, then waited 15 minutes, served the wrong thing, waited 15 more minutes, served ANOTHER wrong dish, finally got what I ordered. The heirloom tomatoes were out of this world, but I was so pissed off by the service and the attitude that I swore never to eat here again. While the food is good, you can cook it all for yourself at home and enjoy the ambiance and the silence there.

The Definition of "Wholesome" – This is the hippie eatery of choice, but it's good for us regular folks, too. It's organic, but not to the point of being boiled grass in a flower pot. Most dishes taste satisfactory, while also being pretty healthy. The turkey meatloaf is excellent, and the selection of non-alcoholic, non-carbonated drinks are second to none. I wouldn't come here every week, but it's a good change of pace every month or so.

Yum! – This is one of my favorite places to eat. I love the atmosphere and the food is excellent. For those who think the food is bland, try the coconut curried chicked. If you still think the foor has no flavor see a doctor and make sure your tastebuds work. I love the "Whole Lemonade" as well. I highly recomend the Good Earth!

Not bad! – Imagine a restaurant with the decor of Perkins and a menu loaded with lots of vegan/veggie stuff. It certainly lacks the ambience of the Seward Cafe, but then again, this Good Earth is in the Galleria. Lots of tasty dishes (I highly recommend the buckwheat pancakes).

Vegetarian-Organic With Attitude – Wonderful vegetable soup, and cashew-chicken salad sandwiches on heavy-grain bread. Fun takeout bakery for muffins and tea.

Snobbery Defined – I'm not one to put on airs, so I wasn't suprised when I noticed out all the raised noses in Good Earth were not smelling the food. Both staff and patrons seem to believe they're doing each other favors just by being there. (This IS E.D.I.N.A. - Every Day I Need Affirmation - after all.) The food is bland at best. I've never paid for such a boring omlette. The tables are skinny and crammed together. Heaven forbid you or those at the table next to you need to visit the restroom. There seems to be an obligato... read more
