Everything is brand new but nothing stands out as being great. No new technology or brands. Old gym was a lot bigger and had far more machines and more variety. Pool is great but only 2 lanes. Miss the women’s area but have to admit it was underused. Old gym was better but of course the new one costs more. There are NO hand weights anywhere in the gym which I discovered during my class today. There are a couple in the training room but they remained locked even during class. Unfortunately the three areas of the prior location I used ~90% of the time do not exist in this new location (women’s only room, cardio cinema, and the full body circuit area). There is absolutely no separation between the cardio area and weight training area, and a small cramped area for stretching.
I messed the lady's room and the movies
The gym is really nice with regard to weights stuff but Precor brand treadmills are seriously my least favorite. Not only was I hoping for a woodway treadmill or two which 24 hour fitness down the road does have several of, I was hoping for more of the newer life fitness treadmills. Once fitness equation opens in January, my understanding they will have all kinds of treadmills too... this location may loose people like me.
Went the first day, everything seemed to be up and running with the exception of the pool. The facility is very nice and modern with plenty of parking and machines. I saw some blue tape on items, which leads me to believe that the punch list is being completed, but impressed with what I have seen for far.
