I will start with the fact that I have been a long time return customer of Irina, the original owner of Golden Thread (10+ years) but didn't know she retired and sold the business. I brought in several pairs of pants for hemming and waist taper. Overall the waist and hemming measurements were fine but on further inspection of the quality of work of the hemming, I was very disappointed. Stay clear of this place if you’re looking for wedding dress alterations. The owner argues with you the entire time and messed up the alterations after having my dress for 7 weeks. Mind you, the dress just needed minor alterations at the top and to create a bustle. She pulled my top down in the middle of the store to cut out the cups (WITH A STRAIGHT RAZOR while I was still wearing the dress) they had sloppily sewn in. Did a horrible job on my wife’s pants. The stitching was amature hour on one pair of pants. Then tried to convince us she never did another pair of pants when we asked her to redo the hemming. She said the pants were never done and had the factory stitching. We will never go back
