Well worth it. I played 50 round this year and by far this course is on the top of my list. For a public course as soon as I pulled up I felt like I belonged to a private club. The course it self has some of the best view guarded by water boulders and traps. The greens for bent grass was running a 12 on the stint meter and ran true. 5 different tee boxes for all levels. We have played Golden Oaks numerous times and have always had a great experiences; however, our most recent visit was extremely disappointing. Our foursome was on a tee box waiting to tee off when two balls were hit into us one striking one of our party. When the foursome approached us they admitted to not saying FORE. When we reminded them of golfer etiquette they became verbally abusive and combative threatening members of our party. They went so far as to tell us to go play at another local course. Horrible customer service at the front, mostly Len or Glen the starter. This is the second time I had problems with this course. The first time was trying to get help because there was no balls at the driving range!!🤔. As far as this time....I was 10 min late, nobody on the tee and Len told me I was going to have to wait for a party of 20 instead of putting me on the back 9. new management working reestablish this facility as a place you look forward to visit. great food at our outing.. restaurant usually closed on a Monday golf course afair test of skill..
