This place takes forever to “process” a mortgage request. Quicken Loans had me approved and ready to go in 30 days.
As of Nov. 22nd, Golden oak has been trying to refinance my home since sept 15th . We were prequalified, signed the papers immediately and were told this would be a smooth process! As of today , we have had updates ONLY when I push or call their corporate office. However, still no closing date in sight . As of Friday, we moved to underwriting, but ONLY because I pushed!!! Once I learned they moved our file , I learned that the deal we were supposed to achieve isn’t even what we agreed on ....so folks check your details as Go... read more

They continually send mail that has my actual banks name as the only viewable sender, with some type of “urgent” or attn:equity disbursement as the heading. Opening the letter shows the disclaimer that they are not affiliated with my bank. One of the poorest business practices period. Seems as though it could even have litigious merit as they are initially fraudulently impersonating my bank in an effort to get me to open their junk mail...we’ll see...
