I used to live in Chicago and go to Golden house all the time. The food is really good diner fair, and their potato pancakes are exceptional. I love the decor, as it looks as if more Naugas died and gave their hides to make the booths in any other place I have been in. I was thrilled when watching Shameless to see my old favorite place pop-up as a set. I certainly hope it's done a lot for their business, because they definitely deserve it. I highly recommend a visit.
Celebrated my bday with this amazing half fried chicken dish!
I was there yesterday. The pancakes were pretty good. The sausage links were way over cooked. Burned. Service was fast and friendly considering it was extremely packed.
