I went to Golden Gear for a simple oil change. I agreed to pay $69.99. When I came to pick up my car, the mechanic told me that two air filters needed to be replaced. I was foolish not to ask for the price and they charged me $117 for two filters plus 15 minutes labor. I will not go to this garage again, nor would I recommend them to anyone.
RecommendedI went in to have the “check engine” light diagnostics done, and it turned out to be a repair that would cost at least $1,800. Alex did some research online (on his own, no request made) and recommended that I take my Tundra in to the Toyota dealership and see if it was something covered under the warranty. So I took his advice, and now Toyota is doing the repairs for $0! Alex very easily could have told me that he could do the work, and I wouldn’t have been any wiser.
