Dr. Van Horn (Brian) made the worst day for us the easiest it could be. Our sweet animal passed peacefully, and Brian supported us through the whole process. Brian had a specific process that gently guided us and kind words that helped alleviate our anxiety. His empathy was felt, and we can't thank him enough for taking on this difficult yet critical task. We are so grateful.

Golden Gate Vet helped me through one of the most difficult days of my life with grace and compassion. My beautiful boy Charlie became unexpectedly sick and failed efforts to medically manage his condition. I made the decision to end his life while he still had some quality of life. Golden Gate Vet walked me through this decision and helped reassure me throughout. Their team member who I spoke with and guided me was Zane, who was so warm and responsive and answered all my questions. On the day, Dr. Brian Van Horn came to my ... read more

I never thought I'd write a five star review for a service like this but here I am. I hope anyone who has the painful experience of saying goodbye to a pet, has someone as wise and compassionate (maybe even poetic?) as... read more

The procedure itself went well but it's been 6 days since Golden Gate Home Hospice took my dog's body and the crematorium never received it. I've called and left emails with Golden Gate but I have not received a call back.

My old pup was ready to go after a six month battle with liver cancer. I called Golden Gate Vet Home before they opened and left a voice message and Jennifer got back to me as soon as they opened and kindly fit us in for the day. Brian who performed the procedure was extremely knowledgeable and kind. He made sure my family members were ready and walked us through the process before helping my pup pass over the rainbow bridge. This was a MUCH better process than when we put our last dog down at the vet hospital.
