History Established in 1997. Founded in 1997, GGFC has taught thousands of children and adults to fence. Golden Gate Fencing Center is one of the largest and most prestigious fencing centers in the country and we have grown from 20 fencers practicing at an outdoor track to over 120 fencers training at all levels - beginning to Olympic. GGFC is one of the best sports communities we have encountered. We are so impressed with the coaching at this club! The coaches are world class with extensive experience in fencing and coaching at the highest levels of the sport, and yet they can effortlessly introduce beginners to the sport in a playful and engaging way.
