Historically, the food has always been good, going back many years... Gyros tonight was not at all charred, white rice was mush, red sauce was like a dollop of thick canned Del Monte, tzaziki sauce was water, tomatoes were barely red. They can do better, I think they've gone touristy. The new exterior hardscaping of Monroe St is beautiful!

Best food in Greek Town in my opinion.
Been coming here for 25+ years and always loved this place. Unfortunately I went last night to check out the new pedestrian Greektown (which was awesome) but was very surprised by a change in portions. Ordered the gyro plate as always and it was a massive shift in the quality they usually bring. The shavings were more like crumbs - there was barely any meat on the plate. Easily 1/3 of what they used to consider standard for that meal. Not at all worth the price tag anymore and it was honestly bizarre.
