We need more stores and events to improve our shopping experience.
My husband and I went so that he and our granddaughter can play in the bouncey houses while I shop. No one there when we got there but they were really nice and turned everything on just for our 2 year old granddaughter. Then after their time was up we walked the mall to see the decorations and to see if there was a Santa. Was surprised at the lack of decorations until we got to the Santa area but the Santa was really great. Watched him interact with the kids and he was very good. When I was a child and teenager this mall was thriving. We had Belks, JC Penny's, Sears, Express, Gap, Claire's, Bailey's Jewelry, Reed's Jewelry and various varieties of other stores. It's really sad to see what this mall has become over the past 10 years. I remember when people would come from Wilson/Tarboro etc. to go to the "Rocky Mount Mall," while now everyone is headed to Raleigh or Wilson for shopping.
