Gold River Camp was an idyllic camping location serving as the perfect launching spot for exploring the mountains and Asheville. Katherine was communicative and made the process from reservation to check-out seamless. The glamping tent was cozy and well thought out with the necessary amenities as well as thoughtful extra touches. Would definitely return!
We rented out the entire campground for a wedding and it was wonderful. Did have to remind some guests that despite the luxurious furnishings, it is camping and not a hotel. I had some disabled family members that had difficulty getting around, but overall the experience was wonderful. The owner was responsive and friendly. The cabins and tents were comfortable. AC was rough in the extreme heat during the day. but everyone was comfortable at night.

we had our wedding here last year. rented out the entire campground for the weekend. to this day everyone still talks about it. I wish we had more pictures to share of the area but we were too busy enjoying it!! It was absolutely gorgeous and the accommodations were perfect for everyone. cabins, yurts, washrooms and shower rooms were perfect. we had a great time together as a group and spending the day after in the river. it was a great space for adults and kids - great bonding place truthfully. the hosts were AMAZING! incre... read more
