Long story short. DO NOT RENT WITH MEX CAR RENTAL. They are part of this agency and THEY ARE A SCAM!!! They require a deposit of 2,500 which is a joke for me. You have to inspect the cars YOURSELF and the people there are rude. I requested a refund and they denied it!! DO NOT BOOK HERE.
Absolutely terrible customer service, both in-person and through customer support. I had a reservation for a car on Saturday, and when I went to pick it up, I was refused the vehicle simply because my name wasn’t the main one listed on the insurance card — even though I presented the full insurance policy where my name was included. Stay away from this company – total rip-off and scam! First, they force you to pay $50 per day for insurance, even if you already have your own. Then, they charge $14.99 per day for their own E-ZPass and don’t let you use your own, which is ridiculous. If you refuse, they threaten to charge you $25 per toll as a penalty plus the actual toll amount! WORST COMPANY EVER. DO NOT GO HERE. EVERYTHING IS A SCAM. E-Zpass for $15 a day when tolls don’t even cost that much. And if you refuse, you’ll be charged $25 for every toll you pass. Insurance $50 a day and you can’t use your own. To top it off the workers have a nasty attitude.
