Not a great experience here. I went to one Puppy 101 class and will not be returning for my other ones. You are started off with a lot of videos to go through that pretty much just go over fundamental stuff, which is good information but kind of hard to watch that much. The parking situation is not great. It’s conducted in a building with no on site parking for some reason, so you need to street park and walk. This program may work well for puppies, but for our one year old golden doodle, we saw very little progress. We hired a trainer to come to our home for 10 sessions with the single goal of loose leash walking. After 10 private sessions there was no improvement, and it was suggested that more time is needed. I have no interest in spending thousands more for a program that is not showing results. The owner and trainers are very nice, just not at all effective.
My small dog and I just completed the 101 training and I can't say enough wonderful things about Emily and Ashley who ran the course. They were SO thorough and patient explaining the "puppy mind" and why we are training the way we are. They broke all the tasks down into wins for your puppy and by the end, my dog had learned so much. There was plenty of class time for both teaching and dog socializing. I would highly recommend this class for your new puppy.
We just finished “Life Skills 101” with Emily & Ashley and it was fabulous! The combination of the wonderful hands-on teaching by these two, along with the videos done by Jody, make it world class. It is pretty clear to us after 5-weeks, the onus is on the dog owner(s) to do their homework and practice. Assuming that gets done, this class sets you up to win. Shout out to Minnee for moving on to 202 and thanks to the great team at Go Anywhere Dog for their fabulous work.
My pup and I just finished the 101 class and are on to the next level. The team of instructors at Go Anywhere Dog is amazing to work with - they are patient, knowledgeable, encouraging and eager to pass on their wisdom. I'm so pleased with the progress my pup and I have made together. Each skill we've learned is broken down into easy to follow and easy to achieve steps, both at home and in the classroom. I'd highly recommend this school for anyone looking both socialize and train their dog for real life situations.
