The process to get the loan was a breeze, however; a year later and this is the worst company to EVER have a home loan through. They took our loan out of escrow without telling us causing our home insurance, flood insurance and now property taxes to not be paid. Its been hell trying to deal with them to get this fixed. Misinformation every time I call and the supervisors aren't competent either. I can see why y'all only have 2 stars on this website. It should be zero.

I sold my home which was financed with GMFS. The loan was paid in full for 45 days and USAA refunded the Homeowners Insurance after the loan was paid in full. The check was sent to GMFS and I am getting the run-around on getting my Escrow refunded to me. I am a military veteran and use USAA for my insurance. I will notify USAA and plan on getting an attorney to resolve the issue if this doesn't get resolved soon. GMFS- Please contact me soon about loan number. Thanks

They stole my escrow, and sent me a escrow refund of .35 cents, selling my home.

The consumer's escrow proceeds were not stolen. The amount in the escrow account was credited to the payoff balance. A response and documentation has been sent to the consumer directly.
GMFS/Cenlar Horrible company. it is almost impossible to get a person to talk to. Even the auto prompts will hang up on you. This complaint stems from an overage in my Escrow account. I never received a refund. I made several request. and have been given different dates to receive the refund. It never comes and you can never get the same story from the company. The last conversation I had on April 17, 2018, the actually stated they do not send a second check out. So where are my funds??/ Horrible Company!!

GMFS is the WORST! First off, getting anyone on the phone is a joke. I spent more than an hour and a half trying to speak to someone and no luck! Next issue that I have had, receiving multiple letters stating they have not received hazard insurance renewal paperwork. Copies of this paperwork sent in several times and 4 months later they're still claiming they haven't received this. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLEGMFS is very hard to work with! It's been a problem since the beginning! I bought a house and put almost 10K down. I was supposed to according to agreement at closing start making payments two months later instead of 3 weeks later and that didn't happen! They did nothing to help. We were affected by the August flooding in Louisiana and GMFS offered us to not pay our mortgage for 3 months and that those 3 months would be added on the end of our 15 year loan. We were told this by every person that we spoke to each time we called. We received a letter dated August 23, 2016 stated that our Forbearance plan would end 12-31-16.
