GMC was very over priced compared to other companies. I didn't get a quote over the phone but when tech arrived he informed me it would be $350 to replace a $63 PART I was charged a $79 service fee which I thought was unfair since I wasn't given a quote for the part over the phone. I was sold a new furnace based on my heat exchanger being cracked. But in actuality all my furnace needed was a cleaning and a new blower motor. I was charged thousands when it should have been hundreds. On July 28th 2020 GMC Heating and Cooling, Inc. came onsite to my home because I was having a AC issue. The blower motor in my furnace was not pushing out any AIR. The owners and employees of this family owned business are polite and courteous. I have used them twice in the past 2 years and the service was excellent. However, I cannot justify their costs when compared to the rest of the industry. I checked rates with 3 other local HVAC contractors for Lennox furnace parts and service repair, including the cost of diagnosing the problem. GMC charges are at least double for similar service.
