I would give zero stars if I could. Dr. Simms is not a good migraine specialist, and my experience with her care reflects both poor clinical judgment and poor practice management. I was previously on a stable, scheduled Botox regimen for chronic migraine under another neurologist. When that physician retired, I transferred my care to Dr. Simms specifically to continue evidence-based treatment. I went in to being told what i already knew and basically Dr gloria simms told me what i explained to her what happens to me with migraines and she told me the same thing but in her own words, pointless on going, she didn’t want a follow up or tests, she did not show interest at all, so sad. I do not recommend her at all, don’t waste your time if you have chronic migraines
I left this appointment feeling belittled and dismissed. The doctor spoke to me in a condescending tone, barely made eye contact, and seemed more interested in asserting authority than actually listening. I wasn’t treated like a person with valid concerns, I was treated like a nuisance. If you’re looking for compassionate care or basic respect, I’d strongly advise going elsewhere.
My last visit she was very rude and unprofessional. I have a bad memory, which I told her from the first time I met her. She prescribed me medicine that I could not remember. Because I forgot she treated me very disrespectful. She did not finish my treatment walk out and left me and my wife in the treatment room. Very unprofessional in my opinion. Give her 1 Star.
Dr. Simms and the providers under her do a great job of diagnosing and setting up treatment for migraines, vertigo, and related neurological conditions. Dr. Simms is very no-nonsense as other reviewers have alluded to, but she's on point and asks the right questions to get to the root of things. She also referred me to a pain specialist to see about secondary/related conditions to achieve a holistic approach to patient care.
