Dr. Merz is very knowledgeable, intelligent, and listens to every word you have to say. He doesn't jump in with his own conclusions before he hears you out completely. He explains his rationale for treatment thoroughly, and involves you in the decision-making process with respect, patience, kindness. and professionalism.
Been seeing him for decades, and I refused to find a doctor closer to home when I moved. He knows me, knows my conditions, and acts like he cares.
Dr. Merz is an excellent doctor; a good listener, giving you his full attention. He explains his rationale thoroughly for the treatment(s) he prescribes and when you walk out you know what the plan is. He is compassionate, supportive, very kind, and professional. His treatment plan has always been appropriate and concise. He follows through with treatment all the way. We are very blessed to have him as our family doctor.
Listens carefully to me...explains things clearly. Dr. Merz is less about pushing pills and more about wellness in the macro sense. My only complaint is with the scheduler. She missed a request from the doctor to schedule an outpatient surgery and got snippy at me when I called to find out why the surgery had not been scheduled. I am afraid she does not always get things right.
