Friendly staff, clean room, very close to stores and the beach. My husband and I had an amazing experience.
What an absolutely charming and beautiful place! My husband and I stayed in the Marilyn Monroe Suite, which was perfect for me because I have always loved Marilyn Monroe. Family stayed in another gorgeous suite on the second floor, and both rooms were absolutely stunning. The location could not have been better. This was by far one of my favorite hotel experiences. All the staff is so nice and helpful. I brought my daughter to Catalina Island and she had a blast but because you come here on a ferry it's hard to bring everything you would want or need, this hotels staff was so accommodating they offered us beach sand toys and even some beach towels. I was also not looking forward to carrying around our luggage all day waiting for our ferry at 6:30 but the hotel was so nice and let us keep it in a baggage area they have. The hotel itself does its job with service, accommodation and being in the center of town. It's definitely an older building that could use updating and renovating as hallways and staircases are small, narrow and even lopsided and crooked. But honestly, that was also part of the charm. The hotel staff was very friendly and gave me a water bottle at any time I passed by and asked. Again, room is small and older, but we didn't need much as we weren't sitting in the room all weekend.
