I have been a patient of Dr. Darren Hatchard at Glenmore optometry for the past few years. I have always received exceptional care. When I inquired about lens replacement surgery, Dr. Hatchard recommended me to Dr. Carl Peters for the surgery. I have very dry eyes, and Dr. Hatchard worked with me to ensure my eyes were in the best possible condition for the surgery. His dry eye clinic really made a difference for me. I had a very disappointing experience with Glenmore Dry Eyes Clinic. My first appointment was cancelled without clear explanation. Jan 14th appointment, I arrived at the clinic on time at 8:40 AM, only to be told upon arrival that the doctor was absent due to flu. I did not receive any effective notification prior to arriving. I was informed that a voicemail had been left and that it was my responsibility to have heard it. Detailed eye images were taken prior to acuity testing. Dr. Hatchard listened carefully to my complaint about my long-standing left eye irritation and discovered and resolved the problem, ending years of discomfort in seconds. I am grateful and impressed! He then reviewed results of imaging and testing with me and assured me that they do not indicate presence of Parkinson’s, stroke or Alzheimer’s, problems that his advanced imaging can detect since the eye is an extension of the brain.
