I always love the wide array of gluten-free options at Glen Prairie! Everything was delicious as usual.
We love the food at Glen Prairie! When they say locally sourced, we have seen the chef Danny at the farmers markets!! We typically dine on week nights and have had Edna as our server, what a great waitress! When I have many questions on sauces and gf ingredients Edna patiently answers no matter how crowded or busy she gets! As a GF person I am not in the crowd that wishes they would bring back the bread baskets, no one needs ‘free’ bread before a big meal, no one! IMO!
This restaurant is a "best kept secret". It's prices are on the higher end, the food is locally sourced and very good. But the real secret is that because it is attached to a hotel, people don't normally think of it as a place to go on a Saturday night. This is our go to place when we are looking for a good restaurant on a weekend and we didn't plan ahead and make reservations. Quiet atmosphere allows conversations.
We had a very good dinner. Xmas burger a few fish dishes and the famous Mac and cheese. All very good. Full bar, cosmopolitan could have been better. Dessert was warm blueberry pie with ice cream. Will return.
