John is a pleasant person and his pricing is very reasonable. However, the overall experience did not meet expectations. The scheduled times provided were not reliable, and after the gate was installed, the hinges did not fit the columns. A decorative piece had been added to the hinges that was not shown in the drawings, which caused the issue. When I pointed this out, the discussion became argumentative rather than collaborative. We are very pleased with the work they did for us. Mr Glas recommended refurbishing our old railings rather than making new ones. He then designed and made two smaller ones to match the larger ones. From start to finish Mr Glas, his office staff, and installers were great to work with and were efficient. Beautiful results that added beauty to our front porch.
John and team have done several projects for me over the last several years. The latest was two steel columns to reinforce the walls for a basketball hoop 6 feet off the wall inside a pole building. In addition to being among the nicest people you’ll ever meet, he knows his craft very well. His desk and handwritten notes may seem chaotic, but I judge his work on the finished product which has always been outstanding.
We’ve been dealing with these guys for years. They always do a wonderful job for us!
Hasn’t been a good experience. Was so wishing it could have been. Wouldn’t recommend them. I’m having to call another welder to come out and fix the mistakes Glas Ornamental made. Don’t make my mistake.
