DR. GIVEN WAS SOOO OVER THE TOP OF ANY DOCTOR I HAVE BEEN TO. HELIS KNOWLEDGE AND INSITE ARES9 FAR ABOE NORMAL...OBVIOUSLY VERY GIFTED. I THANK GOD FOR DR. GIVEN. MY DAUGHTER WAS IN AN ACCIDENT. In 2015 I had a sinus/respiratory illness that lasted for 4 months, no matter how many antibiotics my family doctor gave me. I just kept getting worse but they never went beyond prescribing antibiotics. I found Dr. Given and I can't thank him enough. They did a lot of testing, hit it with 5 medications and followed up with me until I was completely well. I'm hoping to see him again now.
During this scary and dangerous time with the pandemic I am high risk was having issues and all I got was a very Condescending tone from Aubrey..... till this day haven’t had a follow up call or concern what so ever was denied referral for covid-19 testing. Very disappointed and am still having issues been coming here for years won’t be after this treatment during this uncertain and scary time when you struggle to breath and a nurse blows you off it’s pretty unethical and unprofessional and she’s not even a physician everyon... read more
When Affinity closed, Dr. Blumer highly recommended Dr. Given to me, and my son and I made arrangements to join his practice. The building is huge compared to what I am used to, and a bit of a maze, but the staff is so outgoing and friendly, you don't mind getting lost on the way to an exam room! Jolene in particular--the lovely lady that gives you your allergy shots--is one of the best that I've ever worked with in my medical history. In the last 8 years I have developed hives as part of seasonal allergies. I went to Dr. Given with a breakout on my hand and in between my figures. He said problems on the hands come from chronic hand washing, a compulsive behavior. He lectured me on hand washing. Insisted I watch him wash his hands at the sink in the room. He was closed minded & condescending. The appointment was useless & cost about $250. I never went back. His behavior was inappropriate. Can not recommend. Total thumbs down!!
I went to Dr. Givens last year for dizziness due to allergies affecting my inner ear. His only solution was a prescription for Omeprazole for GERD. He repeatedly said that he had dizziness one time and found that he had been affected by GERD that inflammed his eustachian tube. The Omeprazole did not help me at all after a thirty day trial. He actually had no other suggestions. He appears too old to be practicing. He was at a loss for any other diagnosis.
Now I understand why Dr. Givens is legendary when it comes to allergies. He's personable, informative and not too proud to get a second opinion. He solicits input from his patients to help in the care. Everyone at the office is friendly, patient and prompt.
I went to Doctor Givens today and actually found out that I don't have allergies. This is good to know. I found him and his staff very caring and knowledge able. If I had allergies I know I could trust him to help me as he takes his work very seriously. We discussed different options to deal with my frequent upper respiratory infections which was very helpful.
I have been seeing Dr. Given and his associates for about 3 years now. I never feel rushed and I feel like each of the people there truly care about how I'm feeling and what we can do to make me feel better.
