I just found this gem after talking with some locals at Al the Wops in Locke. Located behind Whimpy’s on Walnut Grove Rd, I’ve probably passed this place a dozen times. It has a local dive-bar feel that I love.. a great place to stop for a pop when out riding along the levee. I haven’t eaten there yet, but plan to very soon.
Clam chowder is great! Been coming here for many years.
Exactly what we expected, the atmosphere and service was excellent. Double Lobster tails on Wednesday is a wonderful treat. 107 years In business and on the fourth generation of family owners, how cool is that!
