We went here for the first time last weekend, we were a little worried after reading the reviews, but I am sooo glad we decided to go anyways. The location was absolutely perfect. A quick walk to the beach and about a ten minute drive to town. We are actually booking again and will be returning yearly !
This was our first trip of 2026 to this place and we thoroughly enjoyed it! we have a travel trailer so all our needs are met without question. The place was quiet and we were at the closest campsite to the road so were able to see the water and walk over to the beach. overall this place meets our needs and the best part was the view of Lake Superior right from our camper. Enjoyed it so much we are booking again for this fall And plan on having three other couples come along!! Beach was perfect across the street!
This campground was a complete disappointment. When we arrived, no one had the book to tell if we were registered guests, so we had to prove it. Not once did they welcome us or use our name. Our campsite was filled with downed wood and pine straw. It took us 20 minutes to collect all the sticks. The shower has one temperature! It was lukewarm for my husband and cold to me. We stayed for two nights. Loved the rustic look and feel. Since we were early in the season nothing was open. Looked for Jeff a couple times just to ask about when fudge shop opened and other offerings on site. Couldn't find him. Only negative was the brown water. If we ever come to the area we would definitely stay.
