Absolutely wonderful! We will DEFINITELY be back to enjoy this very unique and personality filled campground! Relaxed and comfortable atmosphere and a campground BREWERY- what a fabulous surprise! Short walk across the street to a sandy beach where you can build a fire RIGHT ON THE BEACH! Ranger Jeff and Crystal are our people! Thank you for the hospitality - we will carry your spirit with us as we travel on- we will be back to visit again soon!
Where to begin will never stay at this campground again and would never recommend it to anybody. First of all all the pool halls and everything that are advertised were closed. Not to mention that the water is orange . Yes I said orange didn't want to cook with it and sure didn't want to drink it or do laundry . And after 4 days it never cleared up. Overpriced considering There are no amenities that are listed on the website. No fudge factory, no gift shop, no clubhouse, there were locks on the doors. Each building seemed to be run down and being used for storage. There are no stairs across the road to get to the beach. The internet was intermittent at best and the “Great” water pressure was a trickle. We were there due to an emergency & was charged for the two nights without him telling us how much it was. 10 Stars. Must go. Can't wait to return in season. Family friendly. Read the other reviews so you're prepared. Worth it. Once upon a time there was a king, a queen, and a castle... on wheels. The couple took their family of 7 on their third move across the country as we serendipitously landed at Gitche Gumee Summer Camp Retreat Oasis Wonderland Getaway.
