Delicious food, super friendly staff
I’ve passed this bakery/deli many times, and finally went inside. It was the end of the day, only a few customers inside, but what really stood out was not the variety of baked goods, salads, pastas and soups, but the kindness of the staff. You can tell that they truly cared for their customers. They spoke kindly like old friends (they must have been locals, or at least regulars), sharing encouragement and stories. Delicious food. We've been here many times.
I must share my experience! The employees here were so very kind to me! I drove all the way to La Jolla and realized I left my wallet back at my Air bnb. The staff was so kind to let me come back to pay tomorrow! Luckily I had my credit card number memorized (Ha! The one time it wasn't dangerous to know it by heart) I appreciate the trust and kindness shown today from everyone behind the counter! This easily could have been an unpleasant and embarrassing situation! I will infact be back tomorrow! For a pastry! -Sarah Kelley
