Never live in this place! I have lived in many apartments and this one is the worst. Pro: 10 mins walking distance to BART station.Cons:1. Building Problemsa. The apartment has nice looking outside but the interior is actually really OLD. A lots of cracks on the wall. We have ant problem everyday.b. The trash room smells like shxx because there is no exhaust fan there.c. You can enjoy the condensate water from the AC while you are showering since the condensate drain is right above the bath tub. Awful! Please read the other online reviews. I wish I had. There is a lot of theft, they don't fix issues quickly, management is horrible. It is a bad place to live in general, and when you finally move out, and they try to squeeze as much money out of you as possible. Get absolutely everything in writing. There is a ton of incompetence and a serious lack of caring about residents.
Girard is great if your looking for a cheap no hassle place to live. All furniture, utilities and internet are included in the price. Its down the street from UNM so you can walk.
Not recommended. The property has changed hands twice in four years, the quality of life has plummeted and the rent has soared. The water bill is divided between all of the current residents, so everyone shares the expense of the laundry facilities and landscaping. This used to be a beautiful property that cared about it's residents. Now the only priority is the bottom line. This property is not a good value for the money.
