We had a fun date night evening taking a printmaking workshop with Lindsay @Gingerly Press! She shares the history behind this almost lost art while adding her artistic flair. Her energy and love for what she creates truly shines through. Even if you don't take a class, her unique studio shop is filled with handcrafted pieces to purchase. We can't wait to take another workshop with Lindsay.

Recently, I took my Girl Scout troop to attend a book binding class at Gingerly Press. To say it was an amazing experience would be an understatement. Lindsay is so knowledgeable and kind. Her teaching skills are top notch. She altered the class to meet the requirements for the Book Artist badge. Her energy and excitement were refreshing. She spoke of her experiences hiking the Appalachian trail and showed the girls the amazing book she created that is now in the Library of Congress! If you have been wanting to try an art class, but nervous because of a lack of experience or perceived talent(you're wrong about that concern btw)....this is 100% for you (and the experienced artist as well)...it's history, mechanics, composition, getting paint (ink) on your fingers, almost getting said finger chopped off if you're not careful...it's craft, it's art, it's all the things you need right now....take a class, be happier. Make art.

I attended the journal printing and binding workshop this past Saturday at Gingerly Press. It was sooo much fun getting to experience the letter press process in a low-key way of creating along with fun conversation in a small group setting. I am so happy with my creations! The artist, Lindsay, is a wonderful teacher and guide, making it very fun. The time just flew by! I need to sign up for another workshop!
