I wouldn’t recommend this neurosurgeon. I have chiari malformation and she did my surgery in 2023. I wasn’t informed of what to expect post op or for recovery. Was also told by her PA Olga that I was having pseudo seizures which ended up with me in the hospital intubated. I’m in pain every day and was discharged from Dr. Gilmers care with no explanation.
Dr. Holly Gilmer and her team at the office (and at Henry Ford St. John in Detroit) have been nothing but informative, responsive and kind. My loved one was diagnosed December 2025 and had decompression surgery done by Dr. Gilmer on a Friday in March 2026 at 12:00pm and that Sunday at 12:00pm we were on our way home. To my family and I Dr. Gilmer is the absolute best Neurosurgeon. She has been taken care of my Daughter since she was 7 years old. She totally saved her life when she was 12. My baby was in a coma for three days. She knew exactly what to do. It was a pressure coma. I will always recommend Dr.Gilmer over and over again. Thank you for all that you do and have done.
