Oldest County Fair. Every summer come out to the Oldest, Continuous County Fair in Texas. Relive the fun of the midway, the flavor of funnel cakes and sausage-on-a-stick, the pageantry of the Queen Contest, and the judging of pies, cakes, cookies, and quilts.County fair is the 3rd weekend in August, Thursday through Sunday.

Overnighted. There were 2 long term occupants, but it is open field w/o shade. 20mi north of the I-10.
Enjoyed going to the horse races. A very new experience for me. Definitely will be back.
This is a fantastic venue for horse racing and other events. It’s located close to town for food, although their fair food was fantastic, and near the airport. The shaded seating was perfect for a warm summer day and there was plenty of parking.
