I would certainly recommend Dr Gilin, however, the office is horrible. Everything from the staff to the decor is VERY unprofessional. Dr Gilins staff is not a good representation of him at all and I wish he could get better, more professional help in his employ.

My poor recommendation has to do with the staff and inefficiency of the office in general. In order to make an appointment you call and leave a message then wait for a call back. If it is an emergency I should NOT be waiting for a call back. There are multiple doctors in the practice but no one person can schedule appointments for all doctors as other practices are. I don't have problem with Dr. Gilin at all but due to the inefficiency of his office we have left the practice

I first met Dr Gilin when he was a new Resident at the old St. Joseph Hospital in Flint. As an RN I was so impressed with his thorough and compassionate care of my patients, that I decided if he ever went into practice in this area, I would find him. I have been a patient of his for many years now, and would never go elsewhere. He is an excellent clinician, and cares for his patients in the way that you would want a parent cared for.

Dr. Gilin seems like a decent doctor until you question his staff's ability to do their job. I had concerns regarding an issue and when I left a voicemail - a necessity because they never answer the phone - I was suddenly treated with zero respect and told that I needed to find a new doctor. Three weeks later, I received a letter telling me that I frequently complained about his practice. This couldn't have been further from the truth. Dr. Gilin obviously has no regard for the oath. Horrible doc
