I had a total knee replacement done (allegedly) by him. I had complications and he never saw me again. My last memory of seeing him was just prior to surgery when he initialed my knee. Given my experience with him post surgery I doubt he even did my surgery. After the surgery I only saw his PA and then office staff. I regret trusting this arrogant pompous man with such a major surgery. He never followed up despite the infection I got in Lenox hill hospital and then subsequent edema. Thank you Dr. Giles Scuderi, Amy PA, Dorise, and the rest of the staff. I was very nervous about getting a TKR but you all made the experience run like clockwork giving me assurance and confidence that everything will be fine. Dr.Scuderi is by far, the most skilled Orthopedic Surgeon I have ever met! I practiced as a Registered Nurse for 46 years and have worked in the OR and many Acute Care areas in my career. I was in need of a knee replacement at the age of 67 and was out and about walking my dog and climbing stairs within 4 weeks post surgery! I would not recommend him. He ordered an MRI on my sprained knee. After MRI, he briefly called to inform me that I had an ACL tear—but he didn’t mention the severity. Later it turned out to be a complete tear, something clearly visible in the MRI images.During the call, he simply read the MRI report, which described a 'high-grade ACL sprain,' and advised me to do PT for a month or two.
