i saw dr. gilbert quite a few times. while i found him to be personable and funny, i was concerned about the care i received. i was diagnosed with FND during my first visit without any testing. its important to always run tests before diagnosing a certain condition to rule out anything else. the appointments felt rushed. i also felt that some of the information given was alarming without any kind of explanation. when i described my seizure-like episodes, he did not say a word or do anything, he didn’t even order tests. while... read more
Dr. Gilbert has been my 7yr old daughter's neurologist since she was 9mo old! Not only am I a dad that advocates to the fullest for all my children, I am also a nurse, so i can judge from both sides of the fence. Doc has always made me and my late wife feel 'part of a team' when its came to Millie's care and that is when you know you have a physician that you never let go of! Dr. Gilbert left notes in my daughter's file that were uninformed and totally incorrect. He had no direct knowledge of the incident in question, and as a result, future doctors now see his comment and assume it is truth. Totally unprofessional and damaging to the health of my daughter.
Dr Gilbert has been our neurologist for a few years. He is always on time, knowledgeable and our child loves him. He has a ton of experience and helps us with decisions and tough choices with statistics, future outcomes and is a very understanding person. Glad to have have him apart of our child’s care team!
Our grandson sees dr Gilbert I am very picky about who I see as providers. when attending a crucial appointment for him I must say I was extremely impressed. Clean, knowledgeable, Dr Gilbert and the resident both took a large interest in my grandsons current state and future outcomes. He relates to the children very well and builds a true trusting relationship with the families.
"Dr." Gilbert is completely wrong and lo in the stone ages in regards to diagnosis and treatment of PANDAS. Definitely do not recommend!
The experience was amazing. We have been to two other neurologist over the past two years and neither of them had any information to offer about my child's condition. We drove from GA to visit Dr. Gilbert and he new immediately the diagnosis for my child. He was very personable, took is time, looked through records, listened to all we had to say. I did not feel rushed. Treatment options were discussed and he made us feel more at ease at starting our child on medication.
