BEWARE! Ask every question and get answers in writing. We were told 1 month to start of job-took 1 month for them to tell us they couldn’t even get a base to fit our shower-the wall had to be built in 3”. Job didn’t start for 3 months. Samples look great but product is no where near the thickness of samples. Product is as thick as wall board. Once contract is signed you’re on the hook for 40% of the job if you cancel. ASK! ASK! ASK! And get everything in writing!
I recently hired Gilbert Design Build for my tub-to shower conversion. I was told how many days the project would take (2) and it did take 2 days. Randy & Trace were helpful and professional at the initial stage of the project. Jerry Gilbert stopped by a few times to see how the job was progressing, and he was always there to answer my questions. Great staff and overall great experience.
I’m at the signing of the contract stage of a master bathroom redesign. Have been working with their designer Katie, who’s been doing a great job. She zeroed in on my likes and preferences and was a big help with picking out all my materials, always keeping my budget in mind. I wanted a particular faucet design and she was able to get it for me, which to my surprise, was excellent! Every step so far has been done with total professionalism and I expect it will continue as the job progresses. So far, so good.
I tackled a top to bottom remodel of a 1990 villa and i couldn't have done it without Gilbert Design. Mark Bayliss was my project manager and he sent me photos and remarks almost daily. It was a pleasure working with such a professional and personable crew. Top notch from design appointments, flooring, cabinets, electrical, plumbing - any part of a remodel we don't think of - they do!
