Since 1974, Gift of Life has worked to coordinate life-saving and life-enhancing transplants for those waiting, while supporting the generous donors and their families who have chosen to give others a second chance through organ donation. I called today. They seem to not know what I was asking for I was transferred to the HR department. She also did not understand #1 why I was transferred to her #2 where the facility completely provides.
I see some of the reviews showed less than positive because during this very trying time the process of becoming a donor entailed a lot more questions than most people are not aware of, I was one of them. Taryn LaSmith is an exceptional transplant coordinator. She took the extra time and explained the process. In turn I have now shared my experiences with others. So hopefully they won't be caught off guard as I was. It is an exceptional program and can help so many others in need.
