Dr. Albeheary does not have a good bedside manner. You get the feeling she is uncaring and not listening to you. I went to see her for the first time recently. She would ask me questions and then stare out the window absentmindedly as I responded. If you want someone to thoughtlessly write you a prescription this is the dr., if you want real care do not go to her.
Extremely Unprofessional – Troubled, in need of help, and having read the other CitySearch review of the psychiatrist , I made an appointment. The anticipation of help and hope grew. Her assistant called and rescheduled the appointment. Initially I was disheartened, but having developed a sense of commitment to her and finally getting the care I needed, I scheduled a second appointment date/time. My Favorite Doctor! – I was diagnosed when I was younger with ADD. So, now that I am an adult, I have Adult ADD. When I first moved to Chicago, I bounced around to a few Doctors. I was never pleased. I never felt comfortable with any other Doctor. Dr. Albeheary is great. She listens to me and can actually understand my problems. It has now been over a year and things have been going so much better with work and my relationships/friendships, since I went to see her.
