After 1 year of being with GFL, we switched to Eastern Waste & Recycling. GFL was decent at picking up our trash on time. However with our recycling, they missed almost every single pick up. They are supposed to pick up recycling every two weeks, yet our recycling can was full and overflowing for 3+ weeks at a time. We have been GFL customers for over three years, and unfortunately, the quality of service has been consistently disappointing. We pay for recycling pickup service that is supposed to occur every other week, yet our recycling is frequently missed. In reality, it often only gets collected once a month. What is most frustrating is that this has been an ongoing issue despite numerous complaints. I read all of the reviews and didn't want to believe all the comments about crappy service, went ahead and signed up for service in Burgaw. I was assured by the CSR that we were definitely in the service area. My trash container was delivered the next day and my service was supposed to, yes supposed to, start the day after the delivery of the trash container. Matt Duffy is, without question, one of the best reps I’ve ever worked with. The guy goes above and beyond every single time. He’s helped me with sites all across the country, and even when he doesn’t personally service the area, he still takes the time to connect me with the right people and make sure everything gets handled the right way. Firstly, I'm not one to typically leave bad reviews. This company has consistently skipped my pickups. Despite calling GFL and speaking with them at least 4-5 times about this issue, it still has not been resolved. I called yesterday for the final time and the woman I spoke with, while friendly, informed me that my driver's route would be highlighted to pickup today given his history of missing my residence. Sure enough, it wasn't picked up today. I will be cancelling service tomorrow as soon as they open.
