What a great experience of American history
Very impressive and worth seeing. Was so much better than I remembered from 60 years ago. They spent many years restoring the painting and was incredible how good it looks now.
The painting is wonderful. Unfortunately, you're allowed very little time to look at it. Before you get to it you have to watch an endless overview of the war made for grade school children. Then you're finally allowed into the room with the cyclorama, but crammed into a small space with 100 or more other people where you have to endure another "show".
