Vet ruined my pups, cut off their tails nearly level with their bodies. This woman should have her license revoked.

Gettysburg animal hospital helped me out in a pinch. I was on a road trip and stupidly forgot my heartworm medicine. My dog just had her annual exam and heartworm test less than a month ago and I had her vet records with me. They were able to review her vet records and sell me one month heartworm medicine so that I could finish my road trip safely for my dog. Concerns only Dr. Dodson Although I've had only good experience with all other vets and staff at Gettysburg Animal Hospital, Dr. Dodson was stunningly condescending and rude. I had been misinformed by his staff about when to arrive for a procedure for my pet. The hospital door was locked when I arrived (on time, re: the instructions), and no relevant staff was present. I'm very please with this practice. All the doctors are very caring and take time with each animal. When our daschund was hit by a car several years ago the care at this facility saved his life. We go there for every vet need we have.
The vets are knowledgeable and try to do a good job but the office staff is not organized, several I am sure never leaver their chairs. They ask you to call in readily available meds and then do not have them ready when you go to pick them up. Sadly we no longer take our pets to this practice because the wait is too long and the service is just not that good. I think it is better to spend a little more and have your pets get the very best care available...
Was your pet anxious to leave this veterinarian's office? Not at all! I've never seen my pet so calm. They really have a gift with animals here. Did this provider promise services he/she couldn't provide? Not at all! They exceeded my expectations Did this provider have reasonable prices? Absolutely! Dr. Dodson is a knowledgeable vet, but's he tactless. After 4 days in the hospital and nearly $500 later, my 18 year-old kitty was worse than when she went in with a urinary infection. She was given 3 different antibiotics, and numerous other drugs and was experiencing obvious neurological side effects. She kept twitching, was having trouble walking (but could walk up and down stairs before she went in). Can't be the drugs, he said, he just blamed everything on her kidney failure.
