AFTER MAYBE 20 YEARS WITH GAH, I Have FOUND DR. DODSON VERY THOROUGH AND PROFESIONAL AND WENT OUT OF HIS WAY MANY TIMES TO HELP MY PETS. DR. KUKLINSKI 'S QUIET, PROFESIONAL MANNER WAS A REAL ASSET DEALING WITH MY DIFFICULT DOBERMAN BITCH. DR. KOVAC IS CURRENTLY CARING FOR MY "WILD CHILD" DOBERMAN PUP. HE IS ALWAYS CHEERFUL AND PROFESIONAL WITH MY RAMBUNCTIOUS DOG. HE WAS VERY COMPASSIONATE WHEN HE PUT MY OLD DOG DOWN YEARS AGO. I FEEL TOTALLY COMFORTABLE WITH THESE 3 VETS AND THINK HIGHLY OF THEM

I hate that I feel the need to leave a bad review, I have been using Gettysburg Animal for over 30 years and I absolutley loved them recommended them to everyone that needed vet care Dr Dodson and his staff were amazing. I have a dog that has been going in for over 2 months trying to figure out what is wrong with her I have done the recommended surgery the testing and she is still sick, everytime we go in they tell us to try this and if it doesnt work call us back. This review solely lies on Dr. Kovacs unprofessional and unempathetic services that he provided for our dog when we needed it the most. We had to put our dog down and he made the whole procedure a very traumatic memory and death for our family. I would have had more empathy and kindness from a robot. We will never utilize his services again!

In my opinion Dr. Dodson is a terrible vet. I took my cat to him for treatment and rather than take the time to explore treatment options immediately recommended euthanasia. He's pathetic.

We cannot thank Dr. Dodson and his staff enough for taking care of Adele this weekend. When her regular vet would not see her for an emergency visit on Saturday his office was the only one that cared enough to squeeze her in and took excellent care of her during the weekend. She was extremely ill and we could have lost her. She came home yesterday and is now on the mend! Needless to say we are changing our vet care to Gettysburg Animal Hospital.

I've used this practice for years but it has gone downhill over the past two years, and I'm not talking Covid problems. Disorganized. Can't get through when you call- always put on hold. Although the actual vet care by doctors seems adequate, the mechanics of running the practice are horrible. When I needed to have my cat euthanized, a cat which they had been treating, I was told it would be several WEEKS until I could get an appointment. That was unethical. I used to take my cats to Gettysburg Animal Hospital for years, probably close to a decade. I noticed during the last 2 years, and even before COVID hit, that the practice seemed to get more and more busy and unorganized. Most of the doctors I have interacted with were always helpful, caring and knowledgeable. I think it would be helpful to make sure that you get the doctor you like and insist on an appointment with that doctor, because there seems to be a lack of communication between doctors, and I'm not sure how good the ... read more

Dr. Nelson ruined my show poodle puppies, made bob-tailed. Obviously doesn't know what she's doing. Having to go out of area to get an attorney to file suit against this practice.
