Great place to get away from everything.
Charging a distination fee is really pushing it. Beds are oriented such that you have to climb over adjacent person then there is a ledge and 4 foot drop to floor. Not convenient. Do real reason to charge $50 pet fee as floors are bare and cleaning the cabin with or without a pet would be the same. As a lifetime Marriott member these cabins do not live up to Marriott standards. We only booked this as the friends we were visiting were 5 minutes away. No other viable choices.
I planned a group event as an alternative wedding reception with around 30 people recently, and wanted to leave a glowing review of our experience. We and our guests loved the minimalist, yet well supplied individual cabins. So I had been thinking about staying at the postcard cabins for over a year and when I finally reserved a cabin I was excited till I got there. I paid extra for a view cabin umm not really sure why I paid extra to get a view of my neighbors cabin and a view of a tree and a public open field. So I sort of felt ripped off like I only paid like 15 dollars more but if ur going to advertise a cabin with a view maybe have a view or something besides what I got. I was very disappointed tbh. Shower completely clogged. It doesn't drain and cannot shower for more than 5 minutes. Four flies were there to greet us. Severe allergic reactions inside the cabin (not outside), I could almost smell the dust mites. Asthma is rare for me and after one night I started having it. Management needs to ensure the cabin is clean and ready and do proper inspections before having guests. This is not ok. Edit: Adding 1 star because they came to fix the shower the next day and the service man was friendly.
