Spent the past weekend at Postcard Cabins for a decompressing, mostly unplugged getaway and had the best time! Wanted to leave a review for any nervous travelers out there. This is not your typical hotel experience. Postcard Cabins are truly designed for getting away from the city and enjoying some peace and quiet. Left early because of the ticks. I don't know where they came from. Never went for a hike or off the rocks on our site around the campfire, and had the dog tethered so he only had access to the rocks around the campfire as well. Had 3 in me and 2 crawling on me. The dog had ticks as well, so we didn't stay for our 2-night booking. Left after the 1st night, about 4 pm. There were leaves all around the stairs and picnic bench. Maybe the ticks were there. Absolutely love everything about these cabins!!! So relaxing and everything you need is included no need to pack a bunch of stuff just go , relaxe and enjoy nature plus quality time with your loved one... also pet friendly 🥰
I couldn’t recommend this spot enough. It’s an easy drive from the KC Metro and the perfect mini weekend getaway spot. The staff is very attentive, and for someone who still kinda wants to feel like they are in a hotel… but in the woods with a campfire - it’s perfect. The trail is well maintained for guests, and the area feels very safe. We will be back again and again!
