I only have one word to describe our stay...magical! We didn't want to leave! An amazing experience, wonderful cabin (#23, the Retreat) and already looking to book another, this time extended, stay! They truly do try to think of EVERYTHING to make your visit go as flawless as possible. Great job to the owners and staff of Getaway Cabins...we can't wait to see you again!
I'm not the type of person to go on the internet and write bad reviews. Actually, I've never done this before, but I called the owner of Getaway Cabins three times over the last several days and was told by Elizabeth at front desk that, "Because of my rude behavior, I am no longer welcome to stay at Getaway Cabins, nor will the owner be returning my call." My Boyfriend and I needed to just get away for a few days. We stayed in The Retreat Cabin. Best 2 days we could have asked for!!
We stayed in cabin #12 "Above the Rest"...it was a great experience! The cabin was so welcoming and clean...and very close to Old Man's Cave. We definitely want to come back...and highly recommend!
Getting ready to take our fourth trip to the getaway cabins this Sunday and I just cannot rave about this place enough. There was a mistake on my end about payment for our cabin and the staff could not have handled it in a more patient or a kinder way. I will go to this place every chance I get. I already knew I loved their cabins, their location and their pricing but after today I also know that I love their staff!!!
