Lovely location in pine forest. Cabins are closer than other locations but privacy is still excellent. Very close to Beaver Creek State Park which is a hidden gem. Excellent kayaking, hiking and mountain biking. We were very charmed by the volunteer staff at the pioneer village who were so passionate about running and maintaining the facilities. Observing a working grist mill and smithy where they invited questions was fabulous.

A thoughtfully curated camping experience. Firewood, bottled water, coffee, and s'mores were provided but not refilled for our second night which was disappointing. The cabin was absolutely gorgeous, felt very private, great view of course. The bed was so comfortable my husband said it was the best night of sleep he ever had on a camping trip!

I just finished a week-long stay at this cabin and it was absolutely wonderful. (My mom joined me for one night in another cabin, and she loved it too.) The cabin is small in the best possible. Everything was compact, cozy, and so well-equipped that I never felt like I was missing a thing. It's so easy to clean because there's no unnecessary extra stuff! The stay was absolutely wonderful. Easy check in process. Beautiful grounds. Cabin was cozy and was perfect for our stay. And our dog was welcome which was even better. Would absolutely recommend.
