Skip did an absolutely fantastic job bringing our vision of a built in entryway bench/storage unit to life! He kept us in the loop throughout the whole process, chose the perfect materials for the project, and was able to make some last minute changes to bring the piece together! Highly recommend Skip for a custom project!
Sadly, my experience with GES Woodworking was not as positive as the other reviews. I contracted with GES Woodworking to build bookcase wall units, an oak desk top, and a window seat with cabinets below. The workmanship of the oak desk and window seat was superb. However, the bookcase wall units left a lot to be desired. They were constructed with an inferior grade of plywood, they were not sanded smooth, many of the joints were not caulked and the shelves had a ¾” gap at the back. Excellent work on a variety of items.
Skip did a wonderful job on our project. We asked him to create a custom window seat with storage and he blew away our expectations. Skip explained everything clearly every step of the way, he was punctual, the price was more than fair and the work was outstanding. I strongly recommend him for any home project you may have.
Excellent work, quality materials and a personal approach. Skip is a tremendously hard worker and a reliable, trustworthy carpenter that can do just about anything you need for your home. I am very pleased with the custom built-in closet system he made for us and the work done remodeling our master bath (framing, drywall and doors, etc). His knowledge is master level and he is a genuinely good person. You will be happy you called GES.
